C4 - Mark Downie, Commissioning Editor
Mark talked to Top TV about current projects in development and what he is looking to commission in the future - slots to fill and the type of programmes he wants.

Director of Production Juliet Borges talked about current projects and staffing needs including new presenters for T4 and other music strands.

Andy Culpin came and talked about entertainment ideas . He gave an insight into how to develop formats and his contribution into creating The Weakest Link.

Bravo, Trouble and Challenge
Lucy Pilkington, Commissioning Editor, hosted an evening together with her Commissioning Executive Karoline Copping at Flextech. She gave an outline of the kind of programmes they are looking for and the on-screen talent they need.

Endemol Director Training Course
Top TV ran a one week director training course for Endemol UK. This covered self shooting, working with crews and editing a short film.

Channel 4 Diversity Course
Top TV ran a two day researcher training course for the trainees selected on the above course at C4 head office.

Director training weekend
Top TV ran a director weekend course for Leopard Films, Remedy Productions and Zig Zag Productions. Candidates learnt to self-shoot, story board and the basis of film grammar.

BBC
Lindsay Bradbury, Channel Executive BBC, came to a Top TV lunch. She went through the BBC daytime schedules and discussed where the gaps currently are and the kind of shows they are looking for.

Endemol UK
Nick Mather, Head of Creative Team Endemol UK, discussed how ideas need to be focused and presented to commissioning editors. He gave hot tips on how to write a proposal and pitch it to the broadcasters.

CV masterclass
Paul Tasker gave members a 2 hour session on how best to write a media/TV CV. Tips and examples were handed out to members.

Z1 masterclass
Matt from Picture Canning gave members a 2 hr introduction to the Z1. How to use it, and understand its complexities. Another class is going to be run in the New Year.

Outline Productions
Managing Director Helen Veale hosted an evening discussing House of Tiny Tearaways and how they developed it with news of their new up and coming projects.

Quiz TV
Senior producer Mia Simpietro hosted a lunch for presenters. All of the members who attended had the opportunity to be screen tested. Five were offered a job!
