This two day workshop is aimed at both Production Coordinators who want to make the move up to Production Manager or new Production Managers who want to consolidate their skills and learn more.

Over the course of two days, you will discuss and learn the key responsibilities of a Production Manager (whatever programme genre you work in) and undertake practical exercises and tutorials including:

• Key Skills and what makes a good Production Manager
• Budgeting and Scheduling
• Managing a budget and cost reporting
• Post Production Paperwork

As well as covering other subjects such as: Risk Assessments and Health and Safety, release and location forms, music and archive clearance and any other issues you may like to discuss. There will also be the opportunity to discuss your own career plan and gain honest and realistic work advice.

Throughout the workshop you will be assessed by your course tutor on the following:
1. Attention to detail, spelling and organisation
2. Communication and team skills
3. Knowledge of the industry and costs
4. Ability to manage a production from prep to post
5. Knowledge of technical equipment, from cameras to edit suites
